Today, India has over 70 national parks and about 400 wildlife sanctuaries. As per latest tiger census, sixty percent of the total population of the wild tigers in the world resides in India. Amongst the best-known tiger reserves in India are Corbett, Ranthambhore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Pench and Tadoba. However, other lesser known parks like Satpura, Kaziranga, Manas, Sunderbans, Periyar and Sariska are equally rich.

With such an impressive range of biodiversity it is easy to see why India is fast turning into the wildlife enthusiast’s dream destination.
